Saturday, July 12th, I had the pleasure of attending and being the event photographer for a real "Clue" experience! Morð at the Hall, a murder mystery dinner, from the BRILLIANT mind of Sasha K. Haggerty and hosted by The Old Heathen Hall located in Toronto, OH.

This experience was truly like no other! When we arrived at the Old Heathen Hall, attendees were given their name tags and character profiles and ushered into the Hall to converse with one another. We were immersed into a story about a meeting between a Jarl and a Christian King. We were treated to a delicious dinner of baked chicken, roasted veggies, homemade breads and period-accurate desserts.

A collection of dark clothing garments arranged in order with close-up details of fabric and stitching visible.
Two people sit in a dark room with candles lit, surrounded by artistic wall decorations and dim ambient lighting.
A panoramic view of multiple bowls and plates with soup, entrees, and sandwiches served on a wooden restaurant table.

Things go south when the Jarl is found murdered!

Guests had to work together, find clues, solve riddles, and decipher runes to solve the murder. Everyone was shocked to discover who the culprit was!

I'm so grateful I was asked to photograph this event! It was a really unique experience and I'll be looking forward to similar events in the future. After the event, there was a basket raffle with various prizes—from a handmade leather bag to a divination basket, a seaux (knife), and a bottle of mead. There was even a contest for the best costume!

I love getting to photograph events and be a part of the action and I'm looking forward to a few different events coming up this fall and next spring! Be sure to follow me on social media to see where my next events will be!
